My meal costs more than the maximum value of the lunch benefit, what do I do?

If the purchase costs more than the maximum value of the lunch benefit determined by the Finnish Tax Administration, you can pay the remaining amount using another payment method.

Example: A meal costs €14.30. First pay €13.50 (maximum value 2024) with the lunch benefit and the remaining amount (€0.80) with another payment method, for example with your own bank card or cash. Please remember to mention to the cashier before paying that you are splitting the purchase between two different means of payment and the amount to be charged.
