Can the employee receive Kela reimbursement for health care treatments paid with Edenred Wellbeing benefit?

It is possible to receive Kela reimbursement for health care treatments paid with the Edenred Wellbeing benefit.

When your employee uses Edenred Wellbeing to pay for health care treatments, the direct reimbursement procedure may apply at the time of payment, provided that the other conditions for reimbursement are met and the employee has presented their Kela card.

The service provider must have a valid agreement on direct reimbursement of medical care with Kela in order to deduct the Kela reimbursement from the employee's health care treatment fee.

The revised Kela policy has entered into force on 1.6.2023.
