Can the customer receive Kela direct reimbursement for health care treatments paid with Edenred Wellbeing benefit?

It is possible to receive Kela reimbursement for health care treatments paid with the Edenred Wellbeing benefit directly at the checkout when the customer pays.

When your customer uses Edenred Wellbeing to pay for health care treatments, you can apply the direct reimbursement procedure at the time of payment if the other conditions for reimbursement are met and the customer has presented their Kela card.

To deduct Kela reimbursement from your customer's health care treatment fee, you must have a valid agreement with Kela for direct reimbursement of medical care.

The revised Kela policy has entered into force on 1.6.2023.
