How long are the balances of Edenred's employee benefits valid?

The validity period of the balances depends on the employer's contract.

The most common validity period is 2 years from the date of balance top-up. You can check the expiration dates of your balances in the new Edenred app.


Important to note:
  • The expiration date is the day when the balance will no longer be available for use. Please make sure to use the balance before the expiration date.
  • If your Edenred app is in Finnish, the date format is dd/mm/yyyy. If it is in English, the date format is mm/dd/yyyy.
  • If the section for expiring balances says "Your expiring amounts will appear here," your employer may have set a separate validity period for the balances. Please check this with your employer.
  • If you have multiple benefits, check the details of each benefit separately. You can see all the benefits that belong to you on the home screen of the Edenred app.
  • The card must be valid in order to use the balance. You can find the card details for each benefit by clicking on the benefit in your user account on the Edenred app.
