Google Pay is an easy, safe, and free contactless payment method for Android smart devices.
What is Google Pay?
If you have an Edenred payment card (virtual or physical) and a smart device (phone or watch) that supports Google Pay, you can use your device to make payments for all your benefits! Payments can be made free of charge at contactless-enabled payment terminals. Although it is a card payment, your smart device is the payment means used.
This provides an alternative payment method if, for example, there are delays or issues with the Edenred app, or if the merchant does not accept payments made through the Edenred app. Additionally, your card is always conveniently with you.
Where can I use Google Pay?
After adding your physical or virtual Edenred payment card to Google Wallet, you can make contactless payments with your Android device by holding it near the payment terminal. You can use Google Pay at any location within the Edenred network that has a contactless (NFC) payment terminal.
How do I add my Edenred payment card to Google Wallet?
You can quickly and easily add your card to Google Wallet directly from the Edenred app. Please note that these instructions apply to the new Edenred app, so download it first if you haven't already.
1. Log in to the Edenred app.
2. Select the benefit you want from the top of the home screen. If you have multiple benefits, add each benefit's card separately to Google Wallet. (Lounari and Virike benefits are on the same card, meaning they share the same card details.)
3. Press the "Add to GPay" button.
4. Accept the terms of use and enter the confirmation code you received via email.
Another way to add your card to Google Wallet is to open the 'Wallet' app and select the "+ Add to Wallet" button in the bottom right corner. You can manually enter the card details or scan your physical card with your camera. Accept the terms of use and enter the confirmation code you received via email.
