Google Pay is an easy, safe, and free contactless payment method for Android smart devices.
If you have an Edenred payment card (virtual or physical) and a smart device that supports Google Pay, you can use the device as a payment method for all your benefits! Google Pay can be used at all places in Edenred's network that have a payment terminal that accepts contactless payments (NFC) – this is completely free of charge. So it's a card payment, but your smart device works as a means of payment.
Google Pay is available for Android smartphones, watches, and tablets (e.g. Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG, Google) running with Lollipop 5.0 or a later version.
After adding a physical or virtual Edenred payment card to Google Wallet, you can make contactless payments with your Android smartphone by placing it near the payment terminal. Remember that your phone must have NFC turned on when making payments.
Add your Edenred payment card to Google Wallet:
- Adding Mastercard-based Edenred payment cards to Google Pay works in the same way as any other payment card. To get started, download or open the Google Pay app.
- Select 'Add payment method' and enter the card information manually (card number, validity period, CVC) or scan the physical card information with the camera.
- Follow the instructions on the phone and read and accept the terms of use.
- Choose a verification method. You will receive a confirmation code either by email or by calling our customer service. Simply enter the code and you're done!
