Employer, update the lunch benefit load values for 2025

Tax Administration has published the lunch values for 2025

The lunch benefit's minimum value is 8,60€ and the maximum value is 13,70€. The new values will take effect on 1.1.2025.

The values will be updated in Edenred's systems on 16.12.2024. On this page, you'll find instructions for changes to make in the Ordering tool and to the load values of the lunch benefit.

Recommended load amount

If you have chosen to use the recommended, i.e. the maximum load amount of the lunch benefit in the Ordering tool, the change in lunch values does not require any action from you. The new values are automatically updated in the Ordering tool, and the lunch benefit will be loaded with the 2025 values right away in January.

Fixed or daily load values

If the lunch benefit is loaded to employees as fixed or daily load values, the company must update the 2025 values in the Ordering tool after 16.12.2024, when the new values can be entered and accepted.

If you accept load requests for January before 16.12.2024, the lunch benefit will be loaded with the 2024 values.

Note! In order for the 25% tax exemption of the lunch benefit to be realized, you must load min. 11,47€/day, as the employee's share of the benefit must be at least 8,60€ (75% taxable part of 11,47€ is 8,60€). The benefit's full tax exemption is therefore not realized if the employee is loaded less than 11,47€.

How to edit fixed and daily load values

Employees' load requests

If the employee has made a load request before 16.12.2024, but wants to load lunch benefit with the 2025 values already in January, the load request must be edited in the Ordering tool.

Alternatively, the original request will be rejected and the employee will make a new load request in the Edenred app after 16.12.2025.

How to edit employees' load requests

If employees have activated automatic load requests, they should update it in Edenred app to receive January's lunch benefit with the 2025 values.

Pay-by-Usage model

If your company uses employee benefits with the Pay-by-Usage invoicing model and you want to update the values loaded to your employees in 2024, fill out the form below by 16.12.2024.

If the form is not filled by the deadline, the January loads will be made with the 2024 values.
