How and where does the commuting benefit work?

The commuting benefit is intended for the journey between the apartment and the workplace. However, the use of the ticket has no restrictions on the number of trips or the time of day.

The commuting benefit works with both virtual and physical Edenred Transport payment cards, which can be connected to HSL and Whim mobile applications.

In addition, the physical payment card works for numerous public transport services. You can load the local transport travel card at e.g. R-kiosks and at Matkahuolto and HSL offices.

Taxation of the benefit

Flexible use of benefits

If, in addition to the commuting benefit, you order Virike and/or massage benefits for your employees, Edenred's MyChoice feature enables the balance to be transferred between them. Employees can therefore use their benefits even more flexibly, however taking into account the maximum limits defined by the Tax Administration.
